Emily Dickinson Poem

Image
This is my annotations of the “ I’m Nobody! Who are you?” By Emily Dickinson.

Orgin Myth Test

Today we read a story on an Orgin myth of the first Robbin. It was about the beginning of the first Robin and how he came to be. We also answered four questions about the story. I didn’t do that well but I tried the best I could on every question. I learned how to eliminate answers that don’t have anything to do with the text or not in correlation.

Native American Literature

Today we learned about Native American literature and their way of living. We also talked about stereotypes that can be put on people or things in society. I learned about their complex religion, political systems, social values, and more. We defined what a myth, legend, and religion was. One big interesting fact I learned about the original Native were that they performed orally in storytellings or play-like performances.

Test assessment

I completed an assessment on a text about video game affects on the youth. The main idea of the text was explaining the impact of playing video games has on the youth in America. Some kids lose out on things in real life because they’re stuck in playing this fake virtual world. This can have negative effects on how they start to do things in their normal life. Even parents are getting concerned about the overly obsession the youth have with these video games.

Annotating the text

I read a text about dress code changes at a school that the parents were mad about because they thought it was outlandish to make students were prisoners jumpsuits if they violated the dress code. I then annotated the text by finding words I didn’t know, underlining key ideas in text, and asking questions. The text reminded me of the recent dress code changes for our district that Lakeside students helped a lot to make happen. I’ve learned that if you want change you have to work towards getting in some way possible. So if this was real the parents and students could come together to try and persuade the district to not make student’s wear jumpsuits and come to another alternative.

My goals for this academic year is to get all my work turned in on time, pass all tests/quizzes, and do well on my end of the year exams. This year I will pass all my classes both semesters with all A’s.
