 Today we worked on an article in Newsela on artificial intelligence. The article was interesting to read and learn about someone working in the field of AI. The main topic of the article was humanizing artificial intelligence to have emotional intelligence implemented. For my written promo I wrote about the lady and her partner introduction into the article. After reading the article I think AI is still a questionable idea for the future.

A rose for Emily

 Today in class we read the first part of the story called A rose for Emily. The story started off with a depressing tone of her funeral. We read the poem as a class by spinning the wheel to popcorn read. The story seems interesting so far and I would like to see the author reveal more about the main character. I then started my discussion questions that I will have to submit after I finish them.

The Great Figure

 In class we read a poem called The Great Figure. We read the poem as a class then had to draw a picture of the images we saw in the poem while reading. I drew a picture of a red fire truck with sirens, beaming lights, the number five on it, and big wheels. I then answered questions about the poem as well. The poem had lots of imagery and created a mysterious atmosphere.
